There seems to be a little bit of confusion recently about the two different “Shades of Gray” books. Hey, it’s a common mistake! :) Ruta Sepetys clears things up on NPR.
Ruta Sepeys’ BETWEEN SHADES OF GRAY, which landed on fourteen best book lists last year, is being mistaken for another “Shades of Gray” series. Given that one deals with the plight of Lithuanians under Stalin’s rule and the other confronts one woman’s pursuit of pleasure, you can see how the two audiences might not usually intersect.
HOWEVER.
